Embryogenesis
Gabriel Schama, 2024
Working principally in laser-cut plywood, Oakland-based artist Gabriel Schama creates densely layered forms that twist, intersect, and overlap to create compositions that are precise and expressionist. Although the design process begins digitally with complex vector illustrations, Schama’s work is brought to life by the artist’s meticulous craftsmanship. His years of experience in high-end architectural metalwork and furniture design are as evident in the impeccable construction of his work, as they are in the delicate balance of the design.

Whiplash
Nick Bultman, 2024
Nick Bultman is an emerging abstract artist whose work explores the dynamic intersection of nature, technology, movement and color. Self-taught and passionate about developing his creative instincts, Nick transitioned from a corporate career to full-time artistry in 2023, sharing his unique painting process and journey with a growing online audience. Based in Gilbert, Arizona, his art is a reflection of his drive to uncover new, metaphysical forms while attempting to live congruently with three words: "just be you".
Nick’s signature style, known as Velocity Painting, utilizes fluid, expressive strokes as the focal point of his work. Each piece captures and amplifies these forms by meticulously building worlds and superstructures within them, offering a unique perspective on the interplay between control and spontaneity.

Crimson Wave 424
Jan Kaláb, 2023
Born in 1978 in Prague, Czechoslovakia, Jan Kaláb is one of the country’s most notable contemporary artists’ today. A founding pioneer of the Prague underground graffiti, and street art scene, formerly known as Cakes, and with his crew, The DSK – together they animated city streets, and spent many sleepless nights in train yards, and perhaps, a few nights too in police stations. Following those glory days, Jan’s work has evolved to 3-D graffiti, light suspended installations, animated NFTs, paintings, and sculptures. His paintings teeter on the edge of sculpture and his sculptures are mostly painted. All the while, shape and color are the main characters of his work, which he pushes and blends together to exaggerate, or minimize, forms.
